From Florence the trip will take about an hour and a half. Take the A1 highway towards Rome. Exit (after 110 km) at Chiusi. From there go to Chiusi Scalo, you will then pass by the industrial area of Pò Bandino. Head for Moiano. Pass through Moiano and continue along this road for 9 km, and then Stop and turn left, towards Perugia. Careful, there is not 100% visibility at this turning point (it is behind a slight curve). You will now be on the main road, called Pievaiola, that connects Città della Pieve to Perugia.

Before the town of Tavernelle, when you reach the roundabout take the second exit (Missiano and Macereto). Continue along this road for a few km until you reach the town of Tavernelle.
(if instead, after Piegaro you have gone straight by mistake exit at “Tavernelle Ovest”, you will pass by a small mall (Coop) on your left, go on in the same direction until you reach the main Pievaiola road that passes through the town, you will see a bar on the corner on your left and a newsstand in front of you on the right. Turn right on the Pievaiola road).

Go through Tavernelle and continue along the Pievaiola; after about 2 km turn left for Colle San Paolo. After a few Km uphill you will find an old stone church on your right. Turn left again (there is a road signal with our name on it) and enter our property. Continue along the country road for about 1 km until you reach a large white house (Muserale*) with a chapel in front of it (they will be on your right). Welcome to I Casali di Colle San Paolo!

From Rome the trip will take about 2 hours. Take the A1 autostrada (towards Florence) and exit at Fabro. Go to Fabro Scalo and continue towards Montegabbione (around 8 km). After Montegabbione follow indications for Piegaro. After Piegaro continue downhill until you reach the road SS 220 “Pievaiola”, that joins Città della Pieve to Perugia: turn right, towards Perugia.

The trip will take about half an hour. Take the SS 220 (or “Pievaiola”) road towards Città della Pieve. After about 20 km exit at “Pietrafitta”, you will reach the “Pievaiola SS220” road. Take this road towards Tavernelle. After about 500 metres you will see on your right the turn off for Colle San Paolo. Follow the instructions written in the sections above.

The International Airport of Perugia is 12 km from the centre of town. Other airports that serve the area are the Airport of Florence, the two Rome airports (Fiumicino and Ciampino) and the Airport Galileo Galilei in Pisa.

Florence – Rome regional and intercity trains – Station of Chiusi Chianciano Terme for the Intercity trains; station of Fabro-Ficulle for the regional trains. Both stations are about 30 minutes from I Casali.
